I'm reading The Color of Water by James McBride right now. I'm LOVING it!
I would give it a 9 out of 10 because I like the way the book is told both from the mother's perspective and the author's perspective. The chapters are short and the author always keeps me in suspense. I'm zooming through the book--I've read 133 pages in less than two days. There are also funny parts too.
Yes, I would recommend this book to Akeirah and Armani because I think they would appreciate the story.
